I heard the recall on the news the other night and when I walked into work there was a little one wrapped in a suspicious looking multicolor chenille blanky looking as cute as a button, the purpley one... We asked mom if she knew the particulars about where it came from and it was a gift so, she removed it until she could find out where it had come from....better safe than sorry!
so here is the info on it.....Baby blanket recall sold at Sears.....
The fibres of the Sears Baby brand "multipurpose" chenille baby blanket and coral fleece baby blanket can come out easily when pulled, creating a possible choking hazard for small children. The polyester blankets are 75 x 100 centimetres and were sold throughout March and April for $30.
The two chenille blankets are both multi-coloured. One is blue, pink and white. The other is mauve, blue, yellow and white.
The coral fleece blanket is blue with stars.
There have been no reports of choking incidents, but those who bought the blankets are advised to stop using them and bring them back to Sears for a refund.
Sears Canada is no longer selling the blankets
