DBD ewwwwwww!

As for the silverfish I read awhile back that they appear where there is moisture, so maybe check to make sure there is not leaks anywhere in the bathroom. They live in moist environments. I know in our house they appeared as soon as we had a leak, once it was fixed they were gone and they can't survive without moisture. Good Luck!

I would assume that some of them are coming through the drain but if it were me, when I get any sense of that type of thing I am dragging out the caulking gun and sealing every crevice and crack I can find. Essentially sealing off the room from the trim around the floor to the pipes, you name it. Then clean like crazy in case there are any eggs around.

I learned that one living in San Francisco in a building full of roaches (seems they are a way of life down there but they creeped me out). Anyway our apt was the only one that didn't have any and I noticed someone had sealed it right off, every crack and crevice, every shelf, every piece of trim because the things were living in the walls. That meant only having to watch for the occasional scout running in under the front door and if you nailed it, nothing followed.

I googled "silverfish extermination" and got loads of returns, including this one :

Good luck - I did not read all of it, by the way.
