did anyone watch it last night? I cannot believe what they can accomplish in a week...when it takes me years to get one thing done LOL. I particularly loved the under water room for the little girl. Such talented artists out there - I'm jealous, I'd love half thAt talent:)

I work in a stuffy office, in an old building with poor air circulation. Don't blame me if I lack oxygen to the brain!

I think you are young and slim, cute with a hip haircut and are dressed stylishly.

Am I close?

of many. Mambogirl has ruffled sleeves and red lipstick. Decorgirl wears tights and a cape. Trendychick has a mini-skirt and fishnet stockings. Luz2shop has a huge tote bag and a stack of charge cards...you get the idea. i love those names!

The ones who really puzzle me are cmm and imohoruk.

Any insight?

glad to help...

Dreamer, looking back at the thread I laughed too this morning-extreme makeover to esp to hair care!! Whoa! all over the board...everyone I know is on vacation & I'm stuck at home- getting a little loopy all by myself, can you tell? But seriously, don't you have an image of everyone you talk to on here...or do I need to go out & get some air? LOL

...you all went from decor straight to ESP, with your guessing about each other's looks!

So what about Copenhagen? Do you think she is blond and blue-eyed? And how about Sasa? There is a provocative name! And Michael, what might he look like? Do you think Lisi is as pretty as her garden?

Apparently I like this game too.

Mambogirl & decorgirl if either one of you is willing to give me their e-mail address I can provide you with the info...she is willing to ship to you & sell give you my cost price but I can't give all that info over this medium...let me know. Otherwise, I can give you the manufacturer info & you can look around there they RETAIL for $69.95 (that's not my cost). Hope this helps...I"ll look up their web page address for you so you can see who you would be dealing with.

yes Decorgirl, it's one piece & in the past they were pretty wimpy...never hot enough, bristles never strong enough... now they heat up really well, the barrel is ceramic (like the ones on the billion $ irons) & they work really well. My hair is very coarse & thick (italian) & red by the way, anyhow, I can find the name of it & let you know- I think they sell for about $50-$60 & they have tangle proof bristles.! My gf came to visit & panicked her hair wouldn't be done right without all her gadgets, she flipped when she saw how well it worked took one home to MTL. & called me to find out how to buy more for everyone back home...I LOVE mine & swear by it. You have to be careful the hairstyling industry can be gimmicky & over priced give those new irons a while & the prices will come down>>>

seriously, I don't think I would have felt ok with having guessed right on. I spook easy LOL. We'll leave all that stuff to what's-her-name Brown. Sylvia! see I can't even remember her name obviously not gifted...although DH says I'm 'special" in this really funny way....

the only way to really get the kink out is in the blow drying...mine is very curly also, I let it air dry to the point where it's almost dry & then I clip it up & do smaller sections with a dryer & brush - one piece tool..it has the ceramic barrel & gets really hot much easier to handle than dryer & brush ( & that's coming from someone who knows how) & cheaper than the new straightening irons then I run the traditional straightening iron over all of it for shine & use some shine in liquid form. FAST,EASY & cheap. On a good note BIG curly hair is on it's way back haha. It's been a while but we will be back in voque!!!

I forgot to mention Mambogirl, I just saw where they used towel bars on a cabinet as handles ( attached vertically) extra long & ultra contemporary...I thought it was a nifty idea if someone was looking for something out of the norm.

on my eyes I would have said that about you DEcorgirl, except maybe 5'7" I'm freaking myself out a bit now...perhaps it's all those years of hairstyling...maybe there is a pattern on some level that links personality types & there looks other than the real obvious. FREAKY!!

I would have laughed had you said "NOPE- 6'0" blonde & blue eyed" hehe;)

we all talk about putting faces to the names & I see you as someone elegantly dressed in a simple modern way...petite, brunette, very feminine & very pretty...am I close? It would be hilarious to hear what everyone envisions each other as...,if we get even close:)

By the way I have nothing against half dressed 19 year olds...LOL except that I would love to be one of them!!! The teacher commented that there was a problem this year with dress code ever since the low waisted pant & g-string showing fad started. At 37 & after having a baby I cracked up that this was even a problem in school- at this point in my life I would scare myself in those jeans Hahaha;) I say all the power to them!

Of course life in the small city...I wish we had something like that, I'd be all over it! It's ok that it could take some time, I'm sure with the kids (especially the baby) this would actually work to your advantage! What matters is that you complete it -not when. You are fortunate to have that option, we only have the one or design school 3 years full time - not an option for me right now with the baby & in 3 years when he's in school I'll be 40!! Maybe then, can you imagine! In a class with half dressed 19 yr. olds at the start of my 40th LOL. I'll have to go through my midlife with them & hit the PUB! Hahaha...ok I hope DH doesn't see this or college at 40 won't be an option;)

DEcorgirl
as you know I'm in sheffield, but I am also takng one with the college here in the evenings. It's only one night a week, & is categorized "decorating" although our teacher is a graduate from design school & teaches the design course in the day. When I signed up for sheffield I looked into CDECA- & they would let me join if I was taking this course from the college- so figured why not? $150.00for the session & this way could also see if sheffield was up to spec. Funny part is we all laugh at how dated the sheffield videos are and last week she brought the latest videos (copyrighted for 2002) & they were pretty sad...these are the ones the design students watch & the program is recognized by ASID...so sheffield isn't so bad afterall...not a bad option if you can take something similar from a college there, I'm sure I make the teacher crazy - picking her brain for as much info as I can get. I'm sure she's probably thinking to herself that I didn't pay enough for 1 night a week for that much info...LOL
