Try a fabric store that specializes in fabric for dancewear. I live near Edmonton AB and there's a shop we buy fabric for girls' dance costumes and they always seem to have nice full boas!
Unfortunately no source is given.
Well I looked everywhere for feather boas and came up empty. It always looks like such a simple idea in a magazine but as soon as you try and execute on the project it ends up being a big pain!! I looked for them at many fabric stores but the colors were all wrong and they looked cheap and not as full as the one in the magazine. After driving around for a couple of days with my daughter and being disappointed at what I found I gave up. Maybe I will start looking again next year and have it ready for December in advance. If Jody (moderator) knows where it was bought that would be great. It was in the November 2000 or 2001 (I think)
Fabricland has feather boas or you can also try Queen Street West they have lots of shops with feather boas.
Also you can always buy white feathers from a dollar store and do it yourself.
Hope this helps.
Good luck!
Cheers,
Kim
Fabricana in Richmond had several boa lengths the last time I was there. They are quite helpful over the phone, so you could call ahead to see if they have some. They are located near the Lansdowne Mall.
Good luck with your wreath.
Thanks everyone I will start looking at the places mentioned. I can't wait to make my wreath!
I recently saw feather boas at Fanny's Fabrics as well as Fabricland. I would try your local fabric store.
Good luck.
Craft stores also sell feather boas. I saw them at Michael's recently.
I should probably say that I live in Vancouver. I'm not sure if we have Ardene's but I will check, thanks:)
I'm thinking a place like Ardene's, that sells funky jewelry and accessories, would sell them. They used to have them some time ago, not sure if they still have them but worth a try!
