Hello all, we are now about 30 hours into our kitchen reno. Here are some pics of what the kitchen looked for the past 3 years and what it looks like right now. Things went great today.(gotta love parents who also like DIY projects) The only casualty so far was a wire for our garage door, but the power was turned off so there were no injuries, we just can't open our garage door using the ekectric motor. Its late and I am beat, but I am also so excited I had to share with some people who understand.

It looks like you took out a load bearing wall and replaced it with a beam, how'd you do that? Did you get an engineer in to look at it? We want to take out a wall too. Are you also using an Ikea counter-top? I have a feeling I'll be asking you lots of questions...

Thanks,
mo

at the reno. I have now discovered that there is a a huge let down once the demo is done and the waiting begins. Not too much has changed since Saturady night, but there are supposed to be new lights installed when I get home from work today. (DH spent the morning in the attic helping the electrician). I think I have finally picked paint colours but it was last night at 10:30 so I need to see them in natural light after work too. Will post some new pics in a couple days
