An other easy recipe I made at our BBQ, was carpaccio alle vedure (vegetable carpaccio) I used engl. cucumber, celery, zucchini fennel and mushrooms. Everything has to be very thinly sliced and layered, starting with the cucumbers. Add the dressing about1 hours before serving.
4 tbsp. lemon
2 tbsp. balsamic vinegar
salt & pepper
4 tbsp olive oil
Add shaved fresh parmesan, basil and parsly before serving.
Very easy.
Yes, lots of friends came through the house and the garden is now lovely. I'm thinking of maybe make an album on the members site. I have a new combinations of flowers this year, Nasturtium, biddens, lobelia. Very colourful. I'll post a pic on the garden forum later.

Thanks.....we love it and often I use a bottled dressing when in a hurry. Asparagus is a fav. of mine. Most of my recipes come from Best of Bridge cookbooks. How was your open house, lots of friends?
They must have marvelled at the flowers you have....so gorgeous. The roll ups I have added ham or chicken to and it makes a meal on a lazy hot day.
