I am hoping you can give me some ideas for furniture placement for a 4th bedroom /study that we are constructing downstairs in our home. It is right off of the door to go out to the garage. I plan to put some sort of pull out couch or pull out sectional as it will serve as a small TV room as well as a 4th bedroom when I have company. The room is very narrow, 8ft X 13 ft with a window on the far 8 ft wall. When facing the room, the wall on the left also has a small closet towards the front. In the middle of the opposite wall, there is the TV cable plug (jack) and this is where I was thinking the TV would go. As I mentioned before, there is the door to the garage that is on the right when facing the room therefore there would be traffic from the garage in to the house. I’m not sure if I should tile a little area from the garage door so that it’s would act as a small mud room as well… Please let me know furniture placement ideas, any flooring ideas ( where to lay what flooring and what type etc)…. My décor preference is a neutral palette as it is a small room.

Can you post a photo of the room please? My room design is subject to the garage door being across from the closet. If it's closer to the window, I'd still keep this arrangement but reverse it.
You could tile or just get a good rug. I think a thinner 6 drawer dresser with a flat screen tv on top would be best. This sectional would fit (run along closet wall and window wall) and you could add an end table on the one side (on closet wall?) to be used as an alternate bedside table. Add a tree coat rack or wall hooks and a small storage bench beside the garage door.
