thank you to those who posted suggestions on how to paint my kitchen cabinets.
Another question--if I want to put glass inserts into select cabinet doors---does anyone know who within the GTA area (or Burlington, Milton, Mississauga region) who offers this service. Most custom cabinet places would replace the entire cabinet door---but this would mean I have to replace all the cabinetry--this is too expensive an option. Does Ikea do this? Home Depot does not do this.
thanks

I'm not particularly familiar with inexpensive cabinetry, but I'm pretty sure you can find some new ideas on Pinterest

There are million of pictures about decorating on this social media. A pretty good place for your benchmarking
By the way, I worked for a guy which provides custom cupboard doors in Montreal. The website is not the most ergonomic, but it does the job. www.barazin.com . I hope it could help.
We do kitchen refacing in the Greater Vancouver regional area and we would probably accomplish what you want by having new doors made for some or all of the kitchen. Obviously replacing all of the doors gives you a completely new kitchen and the greatest choices in style and colour.
That being said, if you only wanted to replace a few doors you might try going with a different style/colour for your glass doors and create a two tone look or other decorative look.
In Toronto I believe you can get this done at Home Depot. We do installs all the time for Home Depot here in Vancouver and I think they have the same program across Canada.
For anyone in the Vancouver region you can get more info at www.kitchen911.ca

Hope this helps, Jim

Any custom cabinet shop would be able to tell if it's possible to modify your existing doors to accept glass panels.
Have you considered simply replacing the doors (only) on your existing cabinets and cupboards?
My understanding is that it's fairly common to do that to get a "new" cabinetry look for a fraction of the cost of new cabinets and cupboards.
