This one is simply yummy!
Goat Cheese Torta
3 TBSP Hickory Smoke Flavoured Roasted Almonds, finely chopped
¼ cup Balsamic Vinegar
2 TBSP Maple Syrup
1 onion, finely chopped
300 g soft unripened goat’s milk cheese, cut in ½ inch slices
1) Line a 2½-cup bowl with plastic wrap. Sprinkle almonds over bottom
2) Cook vinegar, maple syrup and onions in frying pan over medium-high heat for 5-6 minutes or until most of liquid has evaporated
3) Arrange half of goat cheese slices on top of almonds. Top with all of onion mixture. Arrange remaining cheese on top of onions. Cover with plastic wrap. Gently press down to compact layers. Uncover and turn out onto serving plate. Remove plastic. Serve with crackers.
4) Can be made day ahead and refrigerated. Bring to room temperature one hour before serving.
