OK

for the info. I'll add to my list of ideas for the LR and try out a sample.
Hi, well I am late to this party. It looks like you already got some good advice. I would practice on something first before I attempted a wall. I must say though, once I got the hang of it, I found the techstone very easy to work with. Good luck. Now I am off to look at JenJen's. Dawn
here's the link....some pics didn't come out too good.....

Bump....
but I can't find your photos in the album ? Are they under a different name ? This tech. sounds very intersting...and the price appealing. Thank you.
you apply the sealer or even a varathane on it when you're done...it can be cleaned
I'll check out your album again....did you do the whole wall or just the fireplace surround?
And can it be wiped or otherwise cleaned? Because it'll be next to the fireplace, it will definitely get soot, ashes, etc., on it....
here is the link with the pics of my fireplace with the Tech Stone Granite in Sandstone...my kitchen counter and backsplash has the same thing but in black....
it works on walls...it is very messy though...make sure you have a "hawk" that drywall installers use...i used it on my fireplace not too long ago and it looks really good...at first its hard to apply but once you get used to it ...it's not that bad...and the outcome is worth it...better than the blue ceramic that i had there before...if you go to msn groups you will see a pic of my fireplace...i'll post the link...
