After 18 years of enjoyment of our pool we have made the decision to put it to bed now for good. It is 20 x 40 in size with a 9' deep end.........our kids as well as us, family and friends enjoyed every minute of summer around it for all these years. It was 10 years old when we moved here and now would need a new liner (5000.00) and a few other repairs so we decided that we won't put the money into it now that our kids are not home so much. The pool is surrounded by concrete and gardens and fencing which now will be our spring project to remodel. Some of the concrete will be kept for our patio area that will have a pergola built over it. I am wondering if anyone has used the Hard Rock or Flex Rock products on concrete that will be exposed to all the elements during a year? We have seen it used on a floor in a screened in sunroom, done up to look like flagstone and it is beautiful!! We might consider doing this in our patio area but wonder how it weathers. Would appreciate your input if you know anything about this.
I know I will look to you all for ideas as we spend our winter planning our new back yard. It's sad to see our pool area go, but exciting to think of what will be there. Our open back yard will now be 90' x 120' so we have lots of room to plan for!
