Good Smelling Resolution

I've decided to start using air fresheners. After being in Florida over Christmas and coming home to ten days of cat-in-the-house smells, I decided it's time to buy something to make my house smell pretty. With my $10 coupon I just got from Rexall- and get this it's a resolutions coupon- I'm going to get something. But I have no idea what to get. Any ideas? I don't want it to strong. Something mellow. Anyhow, if there are any thoughts, please let me know.

I use reeds in the bathroom bought at Costco and I use body shop oil (Satsuma)

and I also use the Airwick Plug in which I have at the entrance so It smells nice.

the volcanic rock bags Lee Valley sell are really good for absorbing smells. I happen to know someone who keeps one in her basement to keep the musty smell away and swears by the thing. Well, one fine hot summer day she managed to leave the Costco bag of 3 whole raw chickens in her hatchback... for 3 days...in the sun and heat. She couldn't even get in the car for the smell so threw the volcanic rock bag in the car and pulled the chicken out and her car was totally fine in no time.

The nice part is it doesn't impart it's own scent on things so you can avoid fragrances that may not be so pleasant.

not sure what they have at rexall, but I like reed diffusers with natural essential oils in them. They emit a subtle scent (I prefer softer scents like vanilla or nutmeg) and don't contain as many chemicals as so many air fresheners do.

Another thing to try would be one of those deodorizers that disappears as it soaks up the odors in your home. It doesn't smell like anything, but does help neutralize odors. I have one beside the cat box in the basement and it seems to help. That said, I'm not sure what they're made of....I'm trying to ban toxic chemicals from my home (have been using natural household cleaners and cosmetics for years now) but it's hard when it comes to a lot of things!
