If so, where in your garden do you like it? Have you tried it in containers?
I bought a little one of these for the garden last year, and I'm surprised at how it has developed into a much larger bunch. I planted it in front of a Ligularia 'Marie Brit-Crawford' for a nice contrast in colour, but I think I better move it. While I'm at it, I guess I'll move the oriental poppy as well. (Getting the spacing right in my garden is not something I get right the first time!)

Maybe I'll try some in spots in a narrow border along my driveway and see how it does along the concrete edge. It's pretty sunny there for the most of the morning, so hopefully it won't do too badly there. I'll leave a small piece of it in the original spot for moving out next year, if this relocation project does not work.
I love lambs ear, especially for the kids to feel and touch. But I heard it is toxic to animals, so I haven't got any in my garden. But I do like the arrangement you have, except I agree that I think the lambs ear is going to get too big for that spot, and overlap onto your grass. Maybe make the bed bigger?
Trust me-I spend most of the extra gardening time I get out here on the west coast between getting an early start on weeds that I am cursed with, and fixing 'mistakes' like this one!
Dawn you sure know how to make the rest of the country feel bad. Here in Ontario we had the first real nice weekend in a long time - my forsythia is almost opened up BUT I wouldn't be able to take a picture of my poppy because nothings there yet in the perennial garden - very little green!
Gerri :)
