Had a chic flick video weekend

I rented Something's Got To Give with Jack Nicholson and Dianne Keaton. I enjoyed it. I must say, though, I did think of people here on the board. A bit of that was due to the Paris thing. Also, when the symbolism with the rocks came up, the word "beachy" came to mind. LOL!

I also saw How To Lose A Guy In Ten Days with Kate Hudson, which was good fun. Among other things, the card game really cracked me up. Is that a well-known game? I've never heard of it before. Up until now, the most unusual card game I ever saw was the one my husband's grandparents used to play. I forget the name just now, but players would knock on the table at times.

during a few dances. It's really nice to look back and watch when they get older.

My daughter loved the mirror bypass doors on our entry's closet when we were in our small townhouse. Great for dance rehearsals!

And friends!
You are as bad as I am! DD and I sing all the time - songs from her shows, songs from her dance class, etc. She does a tap number to "Uptown Girl" - she can see her reflection in the fireplace and sings and does the dance moves. Too funny!

but often things just stay with me...like that theme song to what I think is called the Miffy show:

MIFFY!

I really like Tansy and Rosabell, from the Treehouse channel. I actually watch when they come on. They always make me laugh.

I love Max & Ruby - he's such a little gangster - just like a real liitle kid! Some of this stuff is so mindless, I zone out. She's only 3, so no Lizzie McGuire or Olsen twins yet. But soon I'm sure.

Just when I got used to the first simple one my husband got about 3 years ago, he won a different one at work. I barely get used to what the buttons on the remote when @POOF~!! there's a new one to figure out. To make things worse, I spent (o.k. lost) a good 10 minutes trying to get sound. Finally I woke up my husband upstairs to get some help, and he told me he wired the DVD through the stereo and I would have to turn that on too.

Elise-my husband has been on the big screen, so I can't complain. (or look around, lol!) He's just a background guy, but I like to think of him as the strong, silent type!

Luv2shop-my oldest is now 5, so I'm just starting to rent movies a little more often. My 9-year-old is getting tired of his shows too! Her favourite thing to repeat in fun from the Wiggles is the song that goes, "Fruit Salad! Yummy Yummy!" It gets tiring, but hey-at least they're on the same page now and then. I think MY favourite from his shows has to be Max and Ruby. Have you seen the Lizzie Maguire movie?

I'll probably see Mona Lisa Smile next.

You'd be uptight too if you were dyslexic and had to portray Christ and learn an extinct language, and yeah we can't be friends cause I just adore him!!!

I don't much care for Jim - too uptight...
And why are we in here? I'm getting the distinct impression you're all hiding.

I truly enjoyed the How to movie too, right up my silly alley. Was disappointed in Something's gotta, I really thought I would enjoy it so much more, although the movie is worth owning just for ideas from her house :D

My crush on him goes back to Frequency. That's when I first started licking his picture.

I think you are crushing on Jim Caviezel a little. Just because he wouldnt make out with J-Lo, come on.
Dawn, I haven't rented a movie since I can't remember when. I only see the Wiggles, Dora the Explorer, etc. I think I need a little more adult content!

I saw how to lose a guy also. I really love Kate Hudson, she just sparkles. If you want a really good movie to watch, "The Count of Monte Cristo" is superb. It's romance, swashbuckling, adventure, revenge. Plus my favorite, Jim Caviezel!! I wish our husbands were more like that!!!
