I'm thinking of replacing all my carpets with hardwood flooring specifically "tigerwood" (yes I know what a name). I was wondering if anyone has had any first hand experience with this type of flooring. I understand it can get darker with time and exposure to the sun? Are the colour variations in the wood lost, how dark is dark? Any special concerns with regards to caring for it?
I've asked the sales people at different flooring places and get different answers.
Thanks in advance for all your help

Yes I do agree Tigerwood is really good...
Hi
We have tigerwood and it is so beautiful. The sun does fade the flooring and you can tell where funiture has been placed. We have a farm house so we do move the funiture much so it was not a big deal to us. I would think that if you move the furniture the sun would fade the new spots in time so it is not a big deal but for a while you would see the where the furniture was sitting previously
what's tiger wood looks like? im just wondering. but i guess you better look for a catalog before doing it. so that you dont have any problem after seeing the choice you wanted.
I personally have not heard about it, however I would go to the manufacturer and find out what they have to say about it and then try googling the word and see what you get. Keep us posted too if you will because color changes do matter.
