Have we all peeked at the new show schedule calendar?

I'm really excited about the new season. (one more sleep!) I can't wait to see how the set has changed-maybe that ice blue with taupe? (just guessing)

I'm also really looking forward to the segment on ladders. We have a wee little one up on the wall in our family room. My father-in-law made it for my husband to play with when he was little, and I've been bugging him for years to get his dad to dig it out of the storage closet. The day came a few months ago, and it's really a neat, sentimental old thing. It is currently hanging over the sofa, and I am hopeful I might get a few ideas on how to display it a bit better.

I don't like the new opening either. I dislike the graphics and I absolutely hate the 'theme song'.

I wish I had taped at least one episode from last season, if only for the theme music...

I do care that the whole show was devoted to one house that we've seen on other shows. I agree, they could have done better.

I must say that the new set looks really nice. I didn't like the placement of bookshelves on either sides of the kitchen last season. Those seem to be gone.

I agree, the intro music has to go, for sure :)

What is going on? While I must admit I missed the first show of the season, I was alarmed at the opening credits. The moment Lynda walked across the animated set, I thought - is this my House and Home? And the music, don't get me started.

It also seems entire shows are to be devoted to one home. I am not sure about this format change. I miss last season already.

I heard the music and thought why did they change it? I agree that I haven't been that impressed so far, but I'm a dedicated viewer waiting for it to improve. I remember thinking at the begining of last season it wasn't that great either.

I agree with your comments. And you're so right about that music...it has got to go. H&H has always seemed to be at the forefront of design shows, but this season premiere seemed to be thrown together at the last minute.

I too was anxiously awaiting the new 2003 seaon, and I had to comment on the first show. The set was beautiful and inspiring as always. I loved the look of the new living room. However, what happened to the show? The opening music is awful. The graphics are silly cartoons. The real pictures of rooms that were displayed whizzed by much too quickly offering nothing more than a passing glance. And what is that women singing? Dah dah dah????? I think H&H had a good thing last year, and now it is much too sterile. Lynda herself seemed very distant and impersonal. Not to mention, we've all seen Brian's home on other shows, so I am not sure they needed to dedicate an entire show to it. I really hope things improve.
