I saw a photo in the weekend paper of the Camaro concept car, but it was so itsy bitsy teeny weeny....I had to look it up....I figured if anyone could appreciate it, it would be you. My son flipped when he saw it. Makes the new Mustangs and Chargers look like wimp-mobiles.....OK is it totally wrong to drain the child's bank account and college fund to buy this beast? :D

Like you said, there were some elsectrical problems with it, not enogh HP as I had hoped for, and it just didn't seem to want to go all the way when I was driving it, even when I took it onto continental Europe on many of my numerous trips.

Peugeot is a French car,

Glaswegian, My parents had an A4 back then and had lots of problems with it...maybe just a lemon. What was it about your TT that 'didn't do it for you'. I'm curious to hear. I've heard some stories from TT owners about electrical problems being common in k's as low as 70, but I'm yet to experience that or anything else and I'm at 100,000km. the only problem is the lack of hp. Not familiar with Peugeot, what are the specs on it? I don't know a heck of alot about cars but I'm all ears to learning new things.

Aan, pfffhahahahahahahahahahahahahha. nuff said.

I use to own an AUDI A4 back in the early 90s, they are nice cars, but the TT never did it for me. I traded it in few years later, for a Peugeot turbo ;)

or Eurotrash at least would walk right passed the BMW and head straight for the Audi, now that's a classy car!!!

I think its great they're bringing back the muscle car look. I couldn't believe how much hotter the 2005 'stang was then the previous. The only thing that I don't like about muscle cars is they're very boxy, heavy and large. My dh loves them and we constantly debate as to who's gonna kick who's bum bum when he gets one on the road. I'm attached to my Audi TT Quattro. The lines are smooth, small body, fully loaded leather interior is just as hot as the outside (thats one thing I've noticed alot of American cars cheap out on). The handling of this car is unbelievable. Its like a train on tracks. I've hit 220km/hr in that puppy and it felt like nothing! My only problem is I want MORE power. I'm taking her in this spring, to get a new cold air intake( stock one is very restricted and has poor performance) Racing ECU chip and a new exhaust system with 2 instead of 1 muffler.
This is what was recommended to me as an economical way to boost the power.
I was wondering, do all American made cars have governors on them? Whats up with that? I know that some do but do the sporty cars mentioned here do also? That would be a shame:)

good lord sorry I started this.....but regardless.....still love the new camaro...have to agree with jenjen the new american cars are cool looking and they are also affordable.....I could probably buy a camaro before I could buy a porsche (glasweigan.....a porsche may be a great car --- as my DH will be apt to agree --- but what good does it do us if we can't afford to drive one??)

was watching a show with DS and they were profiling a new Bentley....way cool....DH is better with numbers and what not.....but the new Bentley looked great and kicked butt on the track....will check with him in the AM

It's an awesome litte car :) And I have to say, I'm really impressed with how well it drives in the winter. Snowstorms, freezing rain, icy roads.... it gets through everything!! It's a little tank :)

The only thing about it that sucks is that while we were waiting 5-1/2 months for it to arrive, diesel was cheaper than gas. As soon as we got it, gas went cheaper than diesel -- GRRRR!!!! :hairpull: Diesel has been close to 10 cents more than gas ever since then. Although the most it's cost me to fill the tank so far is $17 -- how many people can say they fill up their cars for less than 20 bucks?? :D

jenjen, is the first car you posted a pic of (the silver one) the Camaro?? Looks pretty sweet!! I used to LOVE Camaros and Trans Ams. I wanted the black one from Smokey & The Bandit -- but I could only afford the Mattel version ;) Well, that, and I was too young to drive at the time ;-)

I've gone the opposite way now -- I drive the smallest and wimpiest car in Canada!! But I LOVE it :D

That car finally made it here to canada, after being out in Europe, 5-6yrs ago. I see people trying to speed in it on the 401. It also comes in a soft top

yup the first one is the Camaro...pic 2 is the the Challenger...pic 3 is the Mustang Shelby and the 4th is the Charger Super Bee....

ok now i don't know of anyone that didn't want Bandits TA...LOL...DH had a TA when he was younger...a '78...it had a shaker hood on it...

that's right you bought that Smarttwofour didn't you??....how is it??

actually i believe until they stopped producing the Camaro...she was built in Canada...they are not sure if they are gonna build them in Montreal again....

In other words, you mean a car from the US, the next door neighbour? Hmmm...most things are pretty US centric here, and one can see why some Europeans refer to CANADA, as US-lite. Anyhoo...enough of this car malarky ;)

if it's the same show i saw...that Porsche also beat the McClaren??....that i find hard to believe!!!

well i never said anything was Canadian...i just prefer North American vehicles...i don't like Jaguar...can't stand Bentley...hate Benz...don't mind some BMW's...and there's no knocking Timmies here...that is a crime punishable by a slow and painful death!!!.... :D

i'm not into European sports cars...been in a Porsche...i found it to be over rated...and well Ferrari...IMHO...a company that chooses you and tells you if you are allowed to buy their car is BS...regardless of the amount of money you have...you have to apply to them and ''ask'' to buy their car...well let's see in that case...keep your sh**ty car and i'll take my money elsewhere...

the Auto Bahn you say...well i would love to take DH's Vette or my Camaro (that i'm gonna get come hell or high water)...and open 'em up on there...as for the other vehicles....they just don't tickle my fancy!!!...and if you can't tickle it...don't bother...LOL... :D

Right....and what is the canadian version of all this? Oh...I know, that will be the Tim Horton mobile  Like most people in the UK, I have never understood the fascination with everything that is US in this country.

Sports teams have to go and play in a US league, rather than a league of their own. I can't imagine that in Europe. Like I said, I'll still the great british engineering cars like Aston diablo or vantage, and bentley over those toy cars from the US.

On a recent episode of top gear, the posche left the corvette and other cars standing way behind, including the ferrari 350 spider. No suprise there. I had the pleasure of driving one of those on the Auto Bahn once, doing 180-200

one more thing....that Camaro has under the hood a 400hp LS2 6.0 litre engine...that would be a Corvette engine....ohhhhhh i want one!!!!!

well if it's wrong....then oops....my kids are now going to community college....i fell in love with that beauty as soon as i saw her....OMG!!!...DH wasn't impressed with her till i showed him the pic on the Detroit Auto Show website...nowwww he likes it....i've already called our salesman we deal with at GM to tell him that the instant that she is available to call me!!!!!....but we have a dilema in our house....DH likes the Challenger better...we he did...if he doesn't now he won't admit it...the Challenger is nice but at first glance...it reminded more of a '70 Cuda...but she is pretty too...alot more nostalgic than the Charger...ummmm can you tell i'm a muscle car nut...LOL...the Shelby tho' was a disappointment...doesn't look any different than the 'stang that's out now...but apparently it's what you can't see...the Camaro is 400 hp stock...the Shelby is 475 hp...but the Shelby can get with some tweaking over 600 at the wheels....yeeehaaawww!!!!...LOL....at this point the Camaro is still a concept...the Shelby is being produced and the Challenger will be out sometime between summer and November of this year....i'm sooooo in love with that Camaro....LOL....glad to see i'm not the only one that appreciates a fine car....well look what you did...LOL....you got me started on that baby...now i'm all hot and bothered.....LOL.... :D
