I've been wondering how you're doing? How is rehab? As it helped you? Can't wait to hear from you!

Wanting your old life back is nothing to be ashamed about. It shows you are optimistic about yourself....great girl...you go for it! You know you can do this, patience is so hard to have sometimes. Good work as you have come so far already. Yipee!

I am proud and so should you be.

Oh, no that is so sad, such a young woman having a stroke, I really should consider myself lucky and I am ashamed that I want my old life back so badly...
Thanks Foxxy.

I too have been wondering how you are doing. Try not to get depressed but I know it is hard on you.
When I got down south I heard that an aquaintance's daughter had a stroke ( 36 yrs. old) They offer little hope she will speak or be able to feed herself again. She is in a nursing home right now.
Thankfully she had no children. Her hubby is in shock still.

Chin up girl you can do this :) :)

Thanks for asking. It's been over 3 months since my stroke and I've become quite frustrated and depressed. The physio I'm getting has not improved my walking, using of the arm and hand too much but I'm happy with my speech and the facial muscles have much improved thanks to the daily exercises I'm doing at home. I'm also working with a occupational theraphist and she really helped me with the emotional aspect of the stroke, teaching me to meditate and be more accepting of the situation.
I go for daily mini walks to the park and hope to get stronger. I miss Stephanie so much but she is doing fine in Tokyo, starting to teach English in April.
Take care Suzie.
