I find I get really keen on trying something out that I've seen - do the research, perhaps take a class or two, buy lots of expensive materials, do the projects after lots of mistakes but eventually get it right (most of the time), give things as gifts, keep some in my home and then ... give up ... nothing has actually kept my interest for very long!
I've tried and been successful at soapmaking and beauty products; mosiac projects; stained glass ornaments; general Christmas crafts and decorations and many others I can't even remember. I have tried and not been successful at making wooden crafty type ornaments; gilding on mirrors and patinas; stamping; sewing and the list goes on! Nice work Foxxy.
how to sew dress patterns and stuff like that but I need the sewing machine first. What kinds of things do you sew ?
I pick and dry flowers and have a microwave flower drying press. I dry roses, hydrangea and also do pastel art. I have done some calligraphy as well. I also sew.
Great stuff!
I started oil painting as a therapeutic hobbie because I found it relaxing, as well as fun and great to give as gifts.
I also do other crafts like beadwork and flower arrangements. Michaels is my second home :)
