Is there any chance it was the Mochaccino Mousse Recipe from our November 2006 issue? It appeared in our Food & Style section as individual flutes of mousse, topped with sweet milk foam and Pocky sticks as garnish. The recipe calls for cream, coffee granules, egg whites, gelatin powder, etc. Does this sound familiar? That recipe was never put up on the website, since only select recipes from the magazine are put online, but if this sounds right, you can order a copy of the November 2006 issue from our circulation department. Yes! It was a holiday issue. I think it was in the gifts to make section. Thanks for everyones help!
Is it possible the mix was written about in an article about DIY or homemade gifts in one of the holiday issues? That could explain why it sneaked past the recipe index. What about an ad (for maybe either cocoa or instant expresso?

I've searched our magazine database, and that recipe for instant cafe mochas isn't coming up. Our database goes back as far as 1987. If you can narrow down the year or season, that may help. Otherwise, here are a couple of recipes that may be similar:
