I thought I would share this idea with our members....I usually make homemade wine & give it as co-worker gifts but I didn't get around to making any this year so decided to give some of my cookies......I found oblong dishes at Dollarama along with the clear wrap & ribbon to match so it was not expensive .:)

sweetpea3 that is such a great gift! I never thought about a great plate find at the dollar store and wrapping like that. I might just have to use this presentation for baking I hope to have done in time to take over to a neighbour. You sure have a great bunch of baking done-wow!

Tangotori I love the look of the cookies you make. If I got a tin of htose as a gift I'd be so pleased as well.

What a nice gift. I think it's always nice to get homemade goodies this time of year.

Unfortunately WW hasn't stopped me from eating cookies. I wasn't doing too badly, but yesterday was a killer. I brought in some home made biscotti (made by me) for my co-workers. Fine - I could stay away from those. But someone else brought in truffles and another person brought in a big tray of fabulous cookies and squares. It was impossible! I ate way too much sugar yesterday.

Today, I'm back on the straight and narrow. Good luck Jeep!

If I wasn't on Weight watchers I would love to get cookies at Christmas but DH would love anyway. Very nice gifts for co=workers.

I make special cookies for my co-workers, packing them in to individual-sized Xmas tins. I enjoy making them (although it's a bit involved) and they seem to be well received. The kind of cookie I make is called Krumkake (Norwegian) - they're made with a special iron then rolled into cylinders while hot (they cool quickly once removed from the iron). This is what they look like:

My Great Grandmother taught me to make these cookies and, when she passed, I was given her cast-iron iron... this iron made great cookies but it was heavy and required a lot of flipping around over the heat of the stove! I don't use it anymore because I have an electric one that allows me to make 2 cookies at a time AND it's non stick. All I have to do now is drop the batter in, close the lid and wait a minute or so... remove, roll and voila! :D

I am in love with oblong trays.

Such a space saver on buffet tables. I hardly use round ones anymore.

No doubt your co workers will be pleased. Actually 2 gifts in one !!

:)

Any job openings at your place ?

:)
