house number

Our house number was barely visible from the street. The actual numbers were brass and over the years had tarnished. The natural wood they were mounted on
had also faded badly.
I took down the wood, sanded it and gave it 3 coats of paint. I scrubbed the numbers with a brass cleaner until they started to gleam.
I realize that this is not a complicated project because some of you are real DIY divas....but I am very proud of the result and especially since DH is away, it will be a pleasant surprise for him when he comes back. One less thing for him to do.
Here is the before....

....are like little accessories to finish off a look. Yours now blend in beautifully with your house.
Definately paint the pots, they'll be a great compliment to the overall look. Kind of like the "necklace" to the "earings".

Your address plaque looks so much improved. Well done! I think painting it was the perfect choice.

Frenchie you did a very nice job. Painting the flower pots will pull everything together, the brown looks awesome, one of my favourite colour. Well done!

These are the flower pots that I want to paint the same color of brown.
