There are many options to protect your home or office. You just go to your local market and and search security alarm agancy , they can set alarm according to your needs
Have security alarms put up, also a camera. This is one option and the other one is that you could appoint a care taker (someone trustworthy) who can also bring along a dog. So there are two options with you. The second one is a cheaper option, though the first one is an investment is who regularly travel and your house needs security.
