How to Determine the value of Home Its not so easy to estimate your house value .Every one has its own opinion.But there are some of the factors which can really helpful which effects the costing of your house. * Structural Elements. Construction of walls, ceilings, floors, roof and foundation. * Exterior Evaluation. Wall covering, landscaping, grading, elevation, drainage, driveways, fences, sidewalks, fascia, trim, doors, windows, lights and exterior receptacles. * Roof and Attic. Framing, ventilation, type of roof construction, flashing and gutters. It does not include a guarantee of roof condition nor a roof certification. * Plumbing. Identification of pipe materials used for potable, drain, waste and vent pipes. including condition. Toilets, showers, sinks, faucets and traps. It does not include a sewer inspection. * Systems and Components. Water heaters, furnaces, air conditioning, duct work, chimney, fireplace and sprinklers. * Electrical. Main panel, circuit breakers, types of wiring, grounding, exhaust fans, receptacles, ceiling fans and light fixtures. * Appliances. Dishwasher, range and oven, built-in microwaves, garbage disposal and, yes, even smoke detectors. * Garage. Slab, walls, ceiling, vents, entry, firewall, garage door, openers, lights, receptacles, exterior, windows and roof. A home is ony worth what the market will bare.  An agent can give you a market analysis but the sale of the home will still be based on an appraisal. Now if you are talking about investment property, it is ony worth what you can rent it for.

Hi HazelJosephine, I just wanted to know abut your formula for estimating the price of a real estate property. Where do you think does it hold good- I mean which country or state- just as a matter of curiosity because I didn't find it suitable for my county.

Very simple formula:- Price of property (max) = Rent/month it would fetch * 200. This is irrespective of the loan amount you take & miscellaneous charges as in this case renting doesn't become a viable option.

The evaluation of the constructed house is done because of the proper design, area, and location of the house. It doesn't depends on the luxury equipments whether it is present in the house or not. The price evaluation of the house is not an easy decision and it should be done with the help of the expert.
