How do you view

Can someone bump the post about how you view i.e. Today's post or by Forum. I vaguely remember this topic. I've noticed lately that I've missed all kinds of posts. Usually I go in to Today's Post a couple of times a day so don't know how I missed them.

Is there an advantage or disadvantage of "Remember Me" when you log on.

Also saw a post marked as today by bbryne. The last post was by her but was dated back in August. What am I missing here?

Now I'm feeling dumb asking these questions. The answers are probably in help. "When in doubt, read the instructions".

Usually go there and read them but I do find that posts get lost very quickly. I check a couple times a day so I don't think I miss much but I do go every once in a wehile and check for forgotten posts. I still like the old format better I find to many clicks and to much scrolling up and down now.

the bbyrne one, was it the poll about cabinet stains? polls are strange animals in "today's posts" - what usually happens is someone voted today, so the thread gets flagged as having new content, but the last actual post may date back a while...

the "remember me" basically sets a cookie on your computer, with your login name and password so you don't have to re-key it every time - if you share your computer and are concerned someone else may impersonate you online or read private messages don't use that feature, otherwise it's fairly safe and saves a few keystrokes....

I find I sometimes miss posts when reading a bunch without being logged in, then when logging in to reply, some viewed posts show as unviewed and vice-versa... (cause to the server, it's almost like two different people, the unregistered guest, and the registered member).

if you have any more specific enquiries, best is to post them in tech support - easier for Phil or Andy to spot them
