I have enclosed a few pics of the hundreds of thousands what appear to be spider mites? that have infested our garden and are ravaging every bush, maple tree, etc that we have...of course with the pesticide ban now in effect we are limited to some products that we bought(Eco-Sense) to try and kill them...is there any other method of getting rid and destroying them that is more cost $$$$ efficient our backyard is 80 feet by 10 feet deep covered in these buggers....thanks for any help

I noticed today that one branch of my cherry tree looked exactly like your pic posted.
I sprayed some water & dish soap but forgot to check later to see what happened.
seems like the majority of them are on the trees and bushes not the plants....We ended up trimming back the rose-of-sharon that had them)in pics) we have been using a product called end-all that seems to be working
I bought a snowball bush from wallmart and when I got it home it had these same bugs all over it and i realized that it had eaten alot of the plant. i returned it. I'm hoping that none of these bugs have made my garden their home now that it's been within reach.... have you had any luck?
Gee I wonder how many times that happens and what it actually costs in the store (where the catalogues are featured). The price in the catalogue is different than their website.
Here is something that caught my attention in the Lee Valley catalogue http://www.thebugblaster.com/ If you check the 'in the news' page there is info on how to use it and some pictures that show why the longer wand version might be a good idea to have.
I can't seem to find it on the LV site but if you have their 2009 Gardening Tools catalogue it's on page 67 and sells for $10.95 for the nozzle or $31.50 for wand and nozzle.
If they are aphids ladybugs will eat them - you can usually buy ladybugs at the plant stores. There used to be lots around, but the pesticides and herbicides kill them too so until the natural balance is able to restore itself with no more pesticides we have to buy them. Fortunately they aren't expensive.
Try 3 parts water & 1 part dish soap and spray a section and see any results.
