Hello everybodyOur sliding patio doors are huge - 8' wide and 6.7'tall plus the 1' upper panel. Those doors are visible from everywhere and really are a focal point in the room. We thought a lot about what to do in terms of window treatments and have real trouble finding a solution that is both practical and stylish.I am not a fan of the look of the vertical blinds, I would prefer to have fabric drapes there, but the problem is that as you can see from the picture, there is not enough space on the sides for the drapes to gather and it will get dirty very quickly. Our other option would be to install a pair of garden doors with mini-blinds inside the glass and leave the sides clear. Then I could probably put some decorative panels to cover the sides and soften the look. If we do that, do you recommend that we put the higher door, all the way up, or use the existing upper panel and go with shorter door? I wanted to see if there really any other suitable options that I would like before changing the doors completely. What do you think our best option would be?
