Let's set up an MSN group for just our photos of our homes. We can each have our own albums. Are you guys interested??? If so, let me know and I'll go ahead and set it up. We'll call it "House and Home Members Albums".

You guys are so great. Thanks for keeping this at the forefront. .. and I have another idea... hehehe

when we reply to a message , is there a way to see images in the messages that contain an image. We can see text by clicking on "reply with text in message" but we can't see images. I often like to respond to messages with images but have to click my "back" button and then my message is gone when I go back.

Thanks bunches, and keep up the good work!

Thanks for letting us know. I didn't think it would be a go. Do you think they will provide album space at some point on this site? That would be really cool. Thanks again.

Hi! Thanks for the supportive words. Yes, like most people our budget dictates the rate at which we decorate. Unfortunately, last year we neded to fix alot of unexpected structural things that cost us $$$$'s so that pretty muched wiped our decorating dollars out. I told my husband if this year we can just make some aesthetic upgrades to our kitchen and repair our second floor bathroom(gutted) then I would be happy. I hope that one day it can be the home I envision.

The piano is dated 1921 I think and it was made in Canada. It was passed on to us after my husband's grandfather died. My husband is a good jazz pianist so his grandfather had wanted it passed on to my husband. His grandfather was a wonderful man that loved music. Behind the keyboard the wood stain is rubbed off from him playing so much--that is what I like best about it b/c it reminds me of his grandfather playing it and being so happy to entertain everyone. I am hoping my husband will one day teach our daughter play so it will continue to be used and loved.

Hi. The fixture in our foyer is from Ikea. It was only $40 I think. The product name that was on the box was FLAT. They have carried that light for quite a few years so I am sure they will still have them. We bought ours only a few months ago.

My husband and I were a little hesitant to post pics after seeing some of the other houses that were decorated so warmly and looked so finished . I guess I am glad we did now since you found something you liked!

I wonder if there's a way of getting a permanent link to the album site on H&H. I know it sort of draws you away from this site, but I wonder if they would consider it :-)

Hi, I have posted some of my "before" pics. Our decorating is very sparse right now. We have no accesories or pictures up yet. I hesitated about posting any pics but then I remembered Artsy told me to be brave!

Everyone else has done a fabulous job decorating. Your all have warm and comfortable looking homes!

Here is my link:

That's exactly what I want to do -- I just need to convince my hubby that it can be done!! The hard part is that we'd have to add a couple of junction boxes (I think), because there's only one for the fixture that's currently there. And the ceiling in the entry is pretty tall (about 15 feet at the peak). So getting additional fixtures wired and hung will be a big challenge!! But I think it would look so cool, both from the inside and the outside.

Thanks for the support!! :)

Some days MSN doesn't always cooperate, so if you get a picture of a little MSN guy on your photos, instead of a thumbnail of your image, just ignore it, when MSN reboots, the image will be there. And if you click on the little MSN guy, you'll see behind it is the image.

I went ahead and set it up anyway. If you click on "Messages", I posted a message about how to set up an album.

Oh, also meant to say that this way, we can just link to pics in our albums, and we can have any size pics we want!!! :-)
