Your recipe sounds wonderful but a little to fancy for childeren, but I certainly will try. WE ended up by spreading butter over the thighs, then salt amd pepper
a little lemon juice and a slice of onion, wrapped in foil and baked at 350deg. for 30min. a pound, they were delicious. Thanks for your help. Zella
What I do for Game birds ( Pheasant or Grouse) you could do the same for Turkey. Debone the thighs as they will cook much faster.
Brown the meat in frypan with a small amount of cooking oil. Season meat with salt and pepper. Remove meat when nicely browned set aside
Deglaze the frypan with good Red Wine ( only cook with Wine that you would Drink)
Add a can (depending on how many thighs you are cooking) of cranberry sauce cinnamon 1 tsp(approx) stir until all blended together
Turn heat to med-low add meat back cover and simmer checking to see that it doesn't boil all liquid away until meat is done approx. 20 minutes. This would be very nice with turkey as the cranberry goes well with it. I can't tell you how much of each you need as I don't know how much you want to prepare but just make sure that the meat is covered with the sauce and then after remove the meat and reduce the sauce to about 1/2 amount and serve over the meat. Good luck very tasty and I have made Pheasant this way many times always to rave reviews.
HI Jeep, I juet want to cook the thighs. thanks Zella
Are you cooking a whole bird as well can you not just roast them along side just put them in later or are you just doing the thighs and want something other than traditional turkey dinner.
