I will suggest, you first build a fence around your house, Now it should not be complete fence. Just alike a traditional one, this will help you to put wall climbing plants. Those look awesome. Then you can start digging up the empty space and create whatever you wish. As Northern Miner is saying build a deck and then start putting plants across.

I know what to do with cedars, I have a lot of cedars in the backyard.
I just want to know what is ok and what is not in the front of my house and ideas.
I want something in green, bleu and a little bit of yellow.
And I want to know if the yellow cedar look so bad in the beginning of the other cedars.
We protect all trees during the winter.
I choice this place for this yellow cedar to mark the entry.
I dont khow if I am right...

One thing to remember about cedars is that they like to be fed. Be sure to feed them in the fall and protect them in the winter.

I agree with you for the yellow one but I dont know where to put it because there is no sun near the house and I dont want to loose it because I love them.
The sun is at the left of the house early in the morning and very late in the afternoon and in the middle and in the right of the house the sun is there at 3.
So I have a problem with that yellow cedar that I want in the front, at this place he received a lot of sun.
Thank you.

We have Emerald Pyramidal Cedar & Little Giant Globe Cedar.
We alway protect trees during the winter because the wind is very hard.
We save our blue spruce and he was planted in june 2008.
And we have ordinary cedars in the back and the are OK, we protect them.
Thank you for your answer.

You mean build something with rock up to the house and put what I have there in that big box fillet with earth?
Do you have pictures that I can see please?
I buy books but I cant find what I want.
The little things that you see are cedars.
They are very small there was on sale at Canadian Tire.
It is hard the first year to have something nice.

Three suggestions:
1. Build a deck across the front in line with where the concrete finishes.
2. Add a long flower box or boxes along that area and add some taller shrubs below.
3. Add even taller shrubs, such as cedars, to hide the area totally.
