OK

And please don't sulk - you have those great cupcakes! Or at least, the photos of them. I have a friend who makes cakes like that, such beautiful work.
You're almost there, Dawn - but you mentioned that you chose "Preview"
Preview is for when you have a really large image that won't fit on the screen, (you can click it, and the full image will load in a popup window):
A thumbnail is similar, but just with a much smaller size:
and then, of course, there's the original:
(off to sulk for the rest of the day, lol)
Just practicing again. FYI-when I click on the line beneath this comment box which says "More information about formatting options" I get a new page with a header reading "Compose Tips" with nothing beneath it. I wonder if that goes the same for others but I guess I'll never know since I mentioned that "please ignore" thing in the beginning. (LOL)
Here is my dummy post to trial run some picture uploads, along wtih a lot of chat about nothing much.
I selected "preview" and "left alignment" just to see if I could type to the right of the photo like this. Seems to have worked, for now anyway-won't know for sure until I hit submit. Maybe now I'll try "right alignment" for kicks.
So now I'll write something to the side of this one to see if it will STAY like this once I hit the submit button. But first, I'll get a few more pics in. (hitting the enter to get the cursor in place for the next photo now)
I chose no alignment this time. Aren't these pretty cupcakes? I wish I could say I made them myself, but I cannot.
I think I'll skip "center alignment" and just hit the post button. If my lovely pictures turn into tiny bits instead of the lovely layout in my post box, I shall sulk for the rest of the day.
Thanks. I'll do that.
Choosing Left and Right alignment is usually if you've got a lot of text, and want to wrap a paragraph around a picture - like in a print magazine article, usually. I find for clarity, it's usually better to just hit enter a few times, insert the picture without aligning, and then hit enter again and continue your post.
Anybody know how to use the title and description thing better than I did lol? Also,I thnk I'll wait on using the option of making pictures left, center or right until I see someone else uses it like it's suppose to be used lol.
Okay ... I'm going to try to upload pictures. So far I'm failing miserably.
YAHOOOOOO! I did it! Now why didn't that work the first 10 times?
Hey, thanks for the tip on hitting "Add."
Sigh.
I'm practicing also...hopefully this works....I guess I'm doomed...The top task bar on my screen reads ...pop-up blocked.....OH! I miss the old forum format.
Looks like we're still working out some bugs with pictures - are the pictures you're uploading particularily large, or have special characters in the filenames?
COOL! Yippee-larger picture uploads! I'm so happy!
If anyone else wants to practice here, go ahead. I don't know if it's written out somewhere that I missed but I just:
1. clicked the green icon above to insert image
2. clicked the box with dots (to put it simply)
3. uploaded from my saved files (first pic the previous upload limit, the second and third to see if we can go larger AND WE CAN!
4. I missed the 'add' button the first time I tried.
I'll try again:
