I purchased 6 kale (purple plant) for $2.29. I was going to put one in my black urn at the front, with purple fountain grass at the back of the urn and white and deep purple wave petunias. Last year I planted the fountain grass and it gave a nice back drop in the pots ( with gerianimum. coleus, licorice plant, hanging ivy like plant with tiny pink flowers . I like the colour of the kale but I wonder if it would be too big and heavy later on.
Wrong picture, but just imagine that these flowers are in a black urn at the front of the house, add two red geranimums and the fountain grass is much higher with plumbs  . LOL
OH yes and can you eat it. The girl said "No" but I think you can. (Chinese Cabbage).
