Hello... I have a very simple question to put out there.... is anyone familiar with the Kimberley Seldon collection? I was shown it a few days ago while on business out of town and have fallen in love with it.... If any of you have seen it, what is your opinion? FYI, no children in the home....

Hello,
Do you know if her line is available in Ottawa?
Thanks,
Polly B
Actually, I'm from Northern Ontario - Timmins to be exact. The furniture store than I was at and carries her line is in Sudbury.
Where are you located, I am really good friends with her publicist I will email and fine out the location closest to you.
There maybe a retailer closer than Toronto for you. Why not email them and ask. A chair in a stripe is always nice and one in a solid colour from the stripe other than the sofa colour.

Okay, so I'm almost 100% positive that I'm going for the big purchase.... Now, herein lies another dilemma.... as I said earlier, I said that I wanted to buy one sofa and 2 chairs but I never thought that I would buy the 2 chairs that were from the same line as the sofa...however, now I want the chairs from this collection as well. I want the natural color sofa (beige I'm assuming?) but what color should the chairs be? I'm 4 hours away from the store that sells this line and I was so enthralled with the furniture at the time, I didn't look at the other fabric samples (or colors) from this line....My walls have been painted BM cabot trail, my hardwood floors are harvest oak and I'm leaning towards red accents ... I have ordered a large mirror that will lean against my tall wall (9 1/2 foot). Any suggestions are welcome and thanking you all in advance for your advice....
I have some of the fabric samples at home from her press kit and they are so nice. I had just bought new sofas when I saw her line and I was so mad, because I really wanted a couple of her pieces. People were climbing up on the risers the furniture was on just so they could sit on it.
I just took a look at Brentwood site and it looks very nice I can't say anything about the quality but the style is sure there. It is nice to see a designer start a line that actually looks worth buying. Unlike Alfred Sung junk yuck.
i saw some of her pieces on Cityline.....awesome, as i figured it would be if she is behind it......... :clapping:

I would say its very practical, Kimberly has 2 kids, and I don't think she would make anything that wouldn't be durable. She is so proud of this line and how well its made. The company that manufacturers it is wonderful here is their website.

Condogirl, thanks for your input. I truly love the sleek look of this furniture line. I have been looking for new furniture for my living room for 4 months now. For the last two, the living room has been bare (a dance hall as my cousin has put it!) as I gave my furniture away, thinking it would force me to get on the band wagon and start looking....this room will only house the sofa, 2 chairs, tables, etc - no television. I like to entertain - dinner parties, etc., so I would like this room to be used for cocktails and appetizers before we head into the dining room (my home is open concept - 3 steps up into the dining area). I'm just wondering about the durability of the material on this line. I know that eventually my guests (maybe even me) will spill wine or drop something onto the furniture. I guess my question is, it is stunning but is it practical?
Her line is put out by brentwood classics, they are a family company that has been around for about 30 years now, its a Canadian company and the family that owns the company is so nice. Last November I worked at the Launch of her new product line, and I have to say the furniture is SO nice. The quality is very good and the styles and fabric are lovely.
Let me know if you need any other info.
