Hello everyone!
I am wondering what to pick as my kitchen light fixtures. I have a very small island. It is an eat in kitchen also. So, I would need two fixtures. One above the island and one above the table. My appliances are stainless steel and my curtain rods and fixtures are stainless steel. My kitchen cabinets are a very dark brown espresso colour. My counter top is speckled brown and beige. My backsplash is a creamy beige and so are my tiles. WOuld you have any suggestions on lighting? Should I use stainless steel? Black? By the way my curtains are neutral also and are a champagne beige colour.
Thanking you in advance
Marisa

Contemporary Universal Lighting is a great idea to be looked on.
You might find some ideas here:

Good combination. Try a contemporary to suite the universal style of the place and it will give some radiance to your place.
I'm using LEDs on top as well as the bottom, I'm happy with the results
Google "Universal Lighting" and see if you can find some inspiration there. They have some nice fixtures and different price points. I am not affiliated with them but I have purchased lighting there. It is hard to advise you when we don't know your style. (traditional? modern? contemporary? etc. I would probably use stainless steel or brushed nickel unless your cabinet hardware is black. What colour are your curtain rods? You might want to post a pic of your kitchen to get a better response. The size of your table may be able to help you choose your size of fixture (if you have a large table you will not want to choose a fixture that looks too small with it) Some fixtures come in different sizes for that reason.
