We currently have the original maghony cabinets in our 1963 bungalow.  As opposed to replacing them, as they are still in reasonably good condition, we have opted to paint them.  We have a medium brown laminate floor, and rather then paint them the standard white, I am considering painting the upper cabinets a cream colour, and the lower cabinets a darker colour.  The walls will be a taupe colour called Sanderling from Home Depot.  Any thoughts on this anyone?  I've not been able to locate any before and after pictures.

Hi,
The company who sprayed the cabinets came at my home and took all the doors to spray them at their shop.  They came back and did a kind of paint shop around the cabinets and sprayed  on site.  I am very happy because of the price, but I still have the same layout.
regards

Thanks for your input!  We are having a professional painter do the cupboards.  We are still looking at countertops.

Hi,

We did the same thing last summer.  We have oak cabinets and had a company spray paint the cabinets antique white.

The island is dark brown.
