I searched "undermount sink" and got lost in old threads again.
That sink looks great. I had no idea that was possible. There is no reason counters can't be done in plywood still - I guess it just needs to be specified.

we weren't the ones to install the sink - we bought the house with the kitchen already done. since moving in 2 years ago we have not had to seal it or anything and we have not had an issue with it at all.
I do know that this is the kitchen maker that did the kitchen Rick's Custom Cabinets & Renovations Ltd (306) 352-6044. I realize that you will not be able to use them to do your reno but they maybe able to give you better answers than I could...
Thanks for posting the pic. It looks really good. Is the edge around the sink sealed with something to prevent water damage??

we have an undermounted sink with laminate counters. There is a rim of man made material that attaches the the sink to the laminate. I will try to take a picture later today.
I do know there was another thread on here with a similiar question. Some problems were discussed. I can honestly say we have not had any issues with our sink and it has been in place for about 5 years. I love it!
I would not hesitate to install a similiar set up in our new house.
