Hi everyone,
This is my first time on this site so I hope my question is appropriate. I have acquired two large glass vases (see through http://www.hallomall.com/home-decor/vases/glass-vases.html) and want to put something in them other than flowers! They are very big, any suggestions? I have bought 200 multicoloured glass pebbles, but they don't even fill one of them half way, so want ideas on what I could put in the rest of the vase/ what I can put in the other? Thanks :)
P.s (the glass vases are to go in the living room as decoration)

Vases are very interesting in the living room that will give a good ambiance in the space.
Hi, The link you gave is 404..Anyway, sand, pebbles are great.
Glass vessels can increase beauty of decoration of your house. You can put any thing in them like small sparkling thing, which will surly look pretty in it.
Some small items such as pebbles, sand, or marbles might be neat.
Which vase on the linked page are you referring to?
Are you only using the pebbles alone? Just thinking you might save yourself if you cheat and put some clear celophane wrap or something in the center and put the stones just next to the glass. That might get you a filled look without buying a truck load of pebbles.
Welcome to the forums, Bunnysmith!
Not sure which vase you're referring to — is it coloured or clear? Does it have a unique shape? If it's coloured or has a unique shape I think you could even leave them empty.
Depending on the shape, and if you're into the nautical look, various ropes and cords can make for a cottage-chic look: http://houseandhome.com/design/photo-gallery-cheap-chic-cottage-decorati... . Holding similar items in each creates continuity. Like these sea shells and beach rocks: http://houseandhome.com/design/photo-gallery-cheap-chic-cottage-decorati...
I realize your vases probably don't have lids, but this blog post might inspire you, too: http://houseandhome.com/blogs/house-home-daily/decorating-apothecary-jars
Good luck! Let us know what you decide on including. Anyone else have ideas?
