Laundry Rooms

I'd like to redo my laundry room (see pic below). Would love to see some other laundry rooms to get some ideas of what all of you have done.

After looking at all the cans of paint in my basement I have decided to do something less vibrant. :-) Too often I paint dark or bright and while I love it, I end up painting it within a short period of time. So, I'll wait a bit, and make a decision later. But I do love the stripe idea, still. I have to make sure my walls in the LR are straight first.

Dekota, not sure if you've seen the picture of our laundry room -- we've got a wide stripe that goes all the way around the room. We ran out of paint, so to hide the transition line between the two different colours, my hubby suggested painting a stripe. I did it in a faux finish, so it's not pure white, but it gives you an idea of what a wide stripe might look like in your room:

I wrote the longest post and then realized I misunderstood what you meant. I'm not sure about the white stripe...Would just an accent wall in orange perhaps work?
I don't know how much space you have in there, but could you fit an armchair or something similar in there? Like a cozy nook to fold your laundry and contemplate design ideas? I have a feeling your best bet is to just decoate the walls with pictures etc. ??

AAN, that's a good idea, but I also have cabinets above the washer and dryer. So I keep the detergents, etc, in those cabinets. The walls used to be lime green, then I painted them red. But now I'm thinking of a soft tangerine colour... with a wide stripe going around the room, in white. I love oranges...of all shades. :-)

Hm...I have mine in the basement so haven't put much thought into one, but how about adding some shelves (lack?) with a selection of nice (dark) wicker baskets on where you can put your detergent etc?
