I love this thread for getting ideas.
Janet love the candles, tres chic...
Istjustme: African theme is priceless and love the snowflakes
JenJen: I think the shite display is very nice and eloquent.
I have noticed that when you look at photos of your own things to see right away faults that you don't seem to see in real time.
Here are a few of mine but I am wondering if I overdid.

I can't wait to start my Christmas decorations but I've been really busy looking after my granddaughter.....hopefully I'll start this weekend, which after all is the first advent of Christmas. I will be posting my pictures as soon as I have all the decorations done....can't wait.

Cat, what a treasure you have there....lovely and thanks for sharing

Janet, I see you already have a nice start......hope to see more later.

Sharing Christmas ideas is a great idea, it heps to see what other people are doing. We hope to put our tree up this week-end. I'm having a Christmas luncheon on the 14th and need lots of time to get things done as I'm in a wheelchair and depend on others to do most of the work.
What is a sticky thread?
Hugs Zella

ok, I took some photos of my African tree. My family has been sending me these decorations every year from South Africa. Most are made of beads and wire, others of tin or woven grass, all handmade by the locals. They are very dear to me and remind me of my family and 'home'. The metal star is made from the can of a popular south african beer called 'Castle'. Too funny. Anyway, enjoy.

Yes with the snow falling it has me thinking and DH said time for the tree this week soI will have some ideas and pictures after my days off. Maybe the Mods could make this a sticky thread for the season so everyone sees it.
