I saw an original print, numbered and signed by Lissa Calvert at a silent auction the other day. The print is called 'Canada at Sunrise'. It is beautifully done and really caught my eye.
I can't find a similar one anywhere on the net, and was wondering if anyone knows about her, and what price her art is worth?
So far the bid is on $60. I am wondering if it is worth going any further?
The picture is of 2 geese with some goslings in a nest. Should I continue with the bid? Or is it already too much?

Hello. Today I acquired a Lissa Calvert print signed and numbered. Two loons and many chicks (doesn't match the Loons and Chicks that I found online) and wonder what the print you mentioned eventually sold for. Hope you see this soon! Eagerly awaiting any responses re value of this print (approx. 2700 produced). Thank you!
I went to check on the bid yesterday, it is now on $120. Must be a collectors piece.
oh I will! I check it every week, before the bid time runs out. So far it has been going for 2 weeks....and dragging...
that sounds very time consuming!
Personally, a limit of $100 wouldn't be unreasonable! Don't check for 24 hours and then add $1 until it gets there...if it does.

Neither, it is a place that 'collects' stuff that people drop off. They then run a slient auction for the highest bidder. The only catch is winning the bid can take weeks, as the winning bid is only declared 7 days after no more bids are placed on that item!! And to make it worse, the limit on a bid is $1 at a time. So everytime I go and check how my bid is doing, someone has added $1 on top of mine, very frustrating.
Why not set your limit for bidding...if you get it great...if not, well really too bad since you like it so much. Is it a charity auction ? or eBay ? :)
Thanks Foxxy. I had a look. I am beginning to think this picture on auction must be worth something, as it is hand signed in pencil and numbered. I also can't find another reproduction of it.

Art is worth what you are willing to pay for it. Do you like the piece if you do sit is worth it. From the art poll we had here a while ago everyone likes something different.
