Hi there! I currently have a pulaski curio cabinet in my living/dining room.  It is a mid brown colour.  I was wondering what colour my dining table and buffet colour should be.  Should it match the curio.  I really like Hooker furniture and like lindley park and harbour pointe sets but they have small tables.  I also like the paige hooker furniture settee(for the little seating area I want to create.  What do you suggest about the wood colours? Marisa

Well, one thing to remember when designing your living area is that you have to be comfortable in the room and like the style since you will most likely be spending a lot of your time in the room.

A set of dining room furniture is usually the best option. This is because the design for the table and chairs are identical, creating perfect harmony between the furniture. It also adds an extra layer of elegance, making it perfect for company.

Sorry for the delayed response, Marisa! I think if you look at a lot of our recent photos there's a real mix of dark and light wood furniture. So it's really up to you in terms of preference! http://houseandhome.com/search/content/dark%20wood?filters=type%3Aphoto
