Hello,
I've never successfully attached a photo. I'm trying again. I'm looking for chairs to go in my living room. I'm thinking green swivel tub chairs. Any comments?

OK

I'd centre the 3 seater sofa on the wall (when centering do not include the angled wall) and place the large artwork (or 3 pieces framed alike) centred above it. I'd centre your coffee table in front of the sofa, make sure you put it about 18 inches away from the sofa so you can walk around it. Make sure your area rug is also centred on the sofa. The love seat stays pretty well where it is.
New throw pillows for your sofa/loveseat. The blue is coming through as almost a denim colour, is that correct?
Your current lamps are very traditional againist your sofa, I think new lamps are needed -- something chunkier and more contemporary.
On the angled wall, I'd put two pieces of art (framed b&w??) one on top of the other.
I'd look for different cushions for your box-shaped stools, something smaller in a complimentary colour. I'd put the 2 of them side by side on the window side of the coffee table. Move the chair to another part of the room.
For your windows, I think I'd put matchstick type blinds with curtain panels. Move the prints from beside the window.
What colour is the room painted? Is it green? Do you like it or will you repaint?
Here's the outdated lamp. It could certainly use a new lamp shade but the lamp itself--Chinese cloissonnee is pretty nice. Hmm, now Im sounding touchy. The mardi-gra beads are a minimalist attempt at Christmas decoration. Thanks for turning my room right side up. I never know how something is going to post until it's done. I do have pleated blinds that kinda hide behind the valence. That was another decorating error since I had the valence cut down for some reason or other. So no, I'm not looking for drapes. I am however looking for baseboards for the brazilian cherry floors. I'm just getting weary of all the unfinished stuff. There's no DH for practical purposes, nor for consultaion or handywork. so ya da ya da...I find myself spending more time lurking, looking rather than getting down to business, so to speak.
the pic, I was getting a crick in my neck :D until I scrolled on down lol. You have a beautiful room, very light.
What kind of of feel are you going for ? are you looking for drapes? what pieces can stay and what pieces can stay ?
Personally, I find the table light a little dated, jmo though, can't see the pic right now, will get back to you when I get a good look at it though, if I have anything else to add.
flipped the pic. for a better view
I'm really struggling with posting pictures. It takes me way too many tries to get the right size. Yes, the paintings are too high. The living room colour is BM linen something, a pale shade of dill pickle. It's very close to Castleton Mist which I have in my adjoining kitchen. I like Castleton mist better but was too chicken to put it in the very hot and sunny living room. I have villa, a discontinued burnt orange, sag harbour and a newly added pitsburgh buff. Stop the madness! Here's one more attempt at a successful post. I now forget what my initial question was. Thanks for hanging in with me.
all unless you wanted a neutral sofa, i dont think it has to be....the sofa is nice and looks like you have a awesome room to work with, looks very large and bright, so far what i can see of it, the pic above the sofa looks a little too high...but then again it could be the picture as mine always look higher than they are....but normally above the sofa i like to keep it about 7 inches from the sofa at the highest....i think you need to move the other picture off that same wall and group it somewhere else with the one by the window....that is all i can say for what i can see of the room

post a few more pictures -- different views -- that would really help us get an idea of the overall room. What colour are the walls painted? Thanks!
Thanks for the feedback. I have been really struggling with picture attachments and finding the right chairs. I'm really only looking for occasional chairs-- that's code for I don't want to spend a lot of money since there are so many other areas calling out for $$$. I did see some cane chairs at pier 1 that might be good.
oh yeah, yeah the sofas are blue suede. And yes, I know that I should have gone neutral. Don't give up on me. I have lots more queries with lots more hard questions.
what i can see of this pic...your sofa looks much like one i just saw on one of the decorating shows the other day....same color and style, is your leather and they did an amazing job with the room....they did some color blocks on the wall in the same blue and other blues, the room looked wonderful, wish i could remember the name of the show....its one where they too have a 1000 to 2000 dollar budget, its a girl and i believe 2 men that work on the room

Some shades of green look good with blue. Had to get my binoculars to check the photo though :D
Hard to tell. The attachment came out small.
