My friend has a pair of the Messina tables sold at Bombay. They go for $299 regular price on the website, but she got hers on sale years ago. I really love the shape of them, and decided I'd like a pair too.
I'd be painting them to suit my decor plans (possibly an impact colour like turquoise or yellow), and it seems a shame to pay full price. I found a great solution at a discount store that has a great copycat!
I got two of these copycats at XScargo for $39.99 each. I'm sure it's near identical, based on the dimensions posted at both websites. Now I don't have to feel guilty about painting them!

Hi dustbunnydiva! Glad you found your way to one of these too.
Have to agree. I actually just bought one of these at XS just last week because it did look pretty decent (especially for the price). Funny, initially I was going to paint mine too but since putting it together have decided to save myself some trouble because it looks pretty good as it is. Not a typical particle board look at all.
Yay! really a nice piece of material....and i dont think you need to paint it in a first place...
So true-they look pretty nice as is. I'm going to hold off on painting them until I'm sure where they go. It's a toss-up between 2 rooms, one where I'd paint them and one where I wouldn't. I love them so I'll MAKE them work somewhere!
Wow, what a great find - even if you did not want to paint them.
