I am looking for a black handle for my kitchen cupboards. I have all knobs and I had painted them black. - Well I am kind of over painting them again and again and wondered about changing some to handles - the cupboards and keep the drawers knobs. I am from Canada and if you could siggest handles from a Canadian website that would be great! i wanted kind of a simple three inch ish handle with possiblly a curve but that is about it. - no grooves or ridges. I have seen them in silver or nickle but not black. I'd appreciate any suggestions! Thanks!

You can get around the different handle lengths (if you are replacing older ones they often have the holes closer together which can mean patching) by getting new handles with thicker bases. That way the base covers the hole. Here are a couple of examples. On the second link you can see the difference between handles that have definite spacers and the others that would hide the holes.

Too bad I have seen one that i really like but it is not available in a black finish!? Thanks for your postings I did have a lot to go through. I just wish I did not have this image in my mind. Oh well I will probably go with a simple curved black one (without  a bend). Thanks for your sites!
You could always try Restoration Hardware.

I bought kitchen door handles from:

I don't know whether these would be suitable, but note that some are 3" pulls and some are in metric and a bit longer than 3", so if you have existing 3" holes, you can only choose certain pulls. This is also true with Lee Valley as well where some are 3" and others are metric and a bit longer than 3".
Also, there is

and

Many of the Amerock are available at Home Depot, etc.
Yikes, if you can't find something you like on Lee Valley there may not be anything out there for you. Possibly you didn't find the right spot to look. You have to go to the Hardware tab and then Collections and Suites. There are 183 different suites of handles to choose from, which is more than you'll find in any store.
This link might take you right to that page

If you just go to the kitchen handles part you won't find much at all.
Thanks NancyJ I have checkout your site but no luck.
Also checkout Rona (didn't really find any) Home Depot, Home Hardware and all with no luck. Any other suggestions as to sites to check out? I would appreciate it! There has to be a simple black handle out there - I am picky for I want somewhat of a shine and sleek yet I liked one with a curve.
Thanks!
Lee Valley has a great selection of handles in a variety of price ranges. I outfitted my entire house with new handles for underr $100 and if I remember correctly that house had a approximately 55 handles to purchase.
