I love the cap cod house Jim Caruk built for himself on Real Renos. The siding is great however, I am not sure if it suits the neighbourhood (from what I see on the screen) Does anyone know which area of Toronto it is located? Has anyone actually seen the house in person?
Paint colour choice in the house is really nice. I love the vellum and red dining room. Not too sure about the colour choice in the master : :( . I think the designer/decorator should have taken a clue that Jim is more of a white, black or charcoal colour guy. The brown, even though I like brown, from what I get on screen just doesn't seem to go.
Love the show Real Renos! I just moved back from the States so I am just catching it now. I like the earlier seasons better than the newer. If it weren't for Neil, I don't think the show would have gone this far. JIm's great, gorgeous , yum ....haha etc but I think it is Neil's commentary that carries it. He is very entertaining and seems like a really nice guy. The show seems almost soap opera like in the newer seasons and it would be nice to get back to some of quoting the projects, time shedules, trades involvement to give the viewer a better feel. From time to time some personal stuff would be great!
Does anyone know anything about Jim Caruk other than what we get from the show? Area of Toronto he lives, still single(?), Heard he was in a "very committed relationship" (whatever that means) a while back. Is he as nice as he appears on the show? How old is he? How long has he been divorced? Surprising to see that he must be raising the kids.(not that I am saying he is bad but usually the kids especially girls are with their mother). Where's the mother?
