Could anyone tell me what colour is maritime white from benjamin moore.  Its in the off white secton of the fandeck.  Does it read a pinky undertone or yellow?  Im looking for a colour that goes well with maritime white.  I have used this paint in my guest bathroom and would like a colour to use in my empty guest bedroom to make the rooms flow nice together.  thankyou :)

Hi LouiseI think what they mean at the paint store is that if you want to vary the shades from room to room, stick to colours on the same paint chip because they will have same undertone. If you are nervous to commit I would suggest asking for a sample pot and test it out on the wall so you can see how the light etc. alters it.  BM also has extra large paint chips that you could tape up to see how it would look in the room. You have to go to an actual Benjamin Moore dealer for these options though. Hope that helps!Andrea

Thankyou for your reply.  Im finding it hard to choose colours when im not sure of the undertone. I find the BM fandeck to be a little confusing especially the off whites.I was told at at the store that i should keep all the rooms in the same undertone especially if its open plan main floor.  Little stressful.. considering i have repainted twice and dont want to make any more wrong decisions.

Editors Andrea Mills and Sally Armstong think it looks pinky. They would stick to pink or greys. If you have it on a colour card look at the various colours closest to it on the same strip because they all have the same undertone. Let us know what you pick! Lis.
