entirely. Part of loving it is sharing what I have learned.
We have a new home and just learning what to put I find that I have better eye for placement than I thought I did. It is so nice to come on board and to be able to pick the brains of people that have learned thought the school of hard knocks i guess just trial and error. I always find your answer so informative thanks
but I guess in the old sense of the word -- I do LOVE it. I come from a long line of gardeners, and like to think I have green thumb ---- although there ARE days...and there ARE certain plants....when I wonder!....lol We moved into this already-landscaped townhouse in 1996, thinking...I don't know what! ...but of course I could not keep my fingers out of the soil for long. I am a biologist by training, so that is also part of it.
My DH thinks I am obsessed -- or thought I was until he saw a documentary about orchid fanciers who will go to all kinds of lengths to get rare and special plants. I am not that bad!!! But I also find it very therapeutic, becasue I have a *thinking* and *sitting* job, and when I get into the garden it is all very basic, and the kind of thinking you have to do is different, and you can get exercise as well as fresh air and sunshine...and tranquillity, because it is all something that you can participate in without having to feel upset if you can't control it, because that is just the way it is. Oooooh, doesn't THAT sound profound! but it is truly the way I feel about it.
How about you, Jeep, are you just getting into it, or have you been at it enough to catch the bug?
