Mirror Glued to Wall?

Help! Has anyone removed a mirror glued to the wall other than with a large hammer. I'm afraid it may be my last frustrated resort...

I picked up this tip from another website...

If your mirror has those little metal clips at top and bottom, the top ones will slide up, you'll probably need to use a screwdriver just to get going ( wrap a rag around screwdriver head so you don't scratch the mirror). Now get some picture hanging wire, cut it long enough so that its at least a few feet wider than the mirror. Put on heavy gloves, use the wire like you are flossing your teeth. Slide it down the back of the mirror- from the top - someone to hold the mirror and gently pull forward as you "floss "( also with gloves )really helps. Go side to side with your wire , it will eventually come loose. If the mirror was attached to the wall with those clip things, the glue usually is applied vertically from clip to clip. If this is the case, it will not damage the walls, in fact just rolls off. The only holes you'll have are from the clip screws.
