Never thought I would post in this forum, but looking at the other topic about house plants, I'm thinking my one evil plant might have mites? It's Tropical tree thing.
It does have weird white stuff on top of the soil. Mites?

Does this mean I finally get to get rid of it? Is that the best solution?
Everytime it's watered, which is veeery infrequently as I am trying to kill it, a lot of fruitflies appear.

It's my only plant, hehe. So, to change the soil etc is the only way to save it?
I wonder if I can put it outside, I realize you don't know what type of tropical plant thing it is, neither do I to be honest. Our landlord "gave" it to us when we moved in. I'd rather see the thing go, not crazy about all the fruitflies...Is it because of the mites that when I water it, they resurrect?

Dreamer go away, go to Ikea and look at my table!!

I think you are on the WRONG FORUM for advice on how to kill plants.
