From DH's point of view :
we trimmed the ivy that grows on the side of the house, However, Jeanette, after finishing, descended the ladder and took a step back.....that was when she twisted her LEFT foot, causing her to fall backwards....that was how she broke her RIGHT wrist....and then she hit the back of her head on the H&R Block building next door.
My turn : I walked to ER (1.5 blocks from home); have broken right wrist, got a half cast and a referral to an ortho (bone doc); sprained left ankle; got appt. with ortho tomorrow, who has pencilled me in for surgery Friday !!!!! Oh, and DH had to "drive" mehome in a wheelchair borrowed from ER . .
I was told not to do much, andthe ER doc got a chuckle when I said all I would do was supervise !

Oh my. Spoil yourself and take a mini vacation by reading magazines to get ideas for all the stuff you/he can do when you get better.

Be sure to take that advice seriously. These things heal so much faster when you play the 'good cooperative patient' and not the 'well, I can probably do just this....'
patient.
Best of luck and let yourself be pampered....sounds like you have some heeling to do.
I'll say, remember poor Natasha Richardson.
Well that sort of puts a damper on the fixing up...unless you like to supervise that is (in which case you might consider this a bonus even if painful). Meanwhile I hope you can manage okay with injuries on some pretty important parts and be careful of that head and don't discount it if you start not feeling right. Bumped heads make me very nervous.
oh my goodness - I hope you are ok. You seem to have a great sense of humor about it!
